The Other Side...

Is there anything better than a stack of vintage grain sacks?

One of my many bottle cap words hanging from an old clip board.

I don't know about you, but I think strolling through the countryside to harvest a huge bundle of wheat sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon.

I forgot to show you this in my Halloween post...An old foot stool has been repurposed into a treat server...Trick Or Treat!

House Things Has Been Condemned

This years theme for Halloween was taken from my business name...House Things turned into Condemned House Things. To accomplish this I used torn lace, tattered lamp shades, creepy crooked pictures, worn books, crows, spiders, hornets nests, and, moss. I threw in a little strange for fun. Enjoy......

I pinned the wicked Halloween tags/ornaments to a decrypted chair.

Vintage milk bottles sprayed with chalkboard paint.

The crows have found a new home in some old black shoes.

An old camera plate used as a chalkboard.

This vintage lamp was painted gray to go perfectly with the
deep purple lace lampshade I made.

Tattered lamp shade and vintage
glove molds holding french postcards of old architecture.

I don't think Iowa is ready for doll parts. But I had to do something on the crazy side...stretch the limit...Halloween, it's the one time of year we get to do something different, let loose, and have some fun.

Got this idea from my friend Elizabeth.
Old photos stuck behind french collars.
Thanks Elizabeth.

Piles and piles of used books.
Notice the spider on the underside of the vintage slip chandelier.
