The Reveal

New shipment of fragrant lavender, from Provence.

Scene 1...

I created the look of a flower market...
Buckets, crates, and baskets full of treasures, instead of flowers.

Feed sack hearts hung from a branch.

How about hanging vintage lunch boxes on the wall to hold potted plants.

Scene 2...

Vintage hat molds hung on the wall to showcase that special piece.
Aged mirror that I made and placed into an old window frame.

Found galvanized metal piece turned into a lamp.

Scene 3...

Architectural lamp, industrial table, and old barn trim fitted with clips.

Very cool adjustable stool.

Unseen footage can be viewed at Sisters Garden...

Coming Soon...

I'll be adding new items to my space on Friday. Plan to visit House Things at Sisters Garden to see all the new goodies on Saturday, or in the near future. The following pictures are a tease of what is to come.

Something Old Something New

Paper explosion......
Books hung on the wall with the pages falling out onto
dictionary page bundles (for your craft projects) and
into frames.

Things have been moved around. I've added new items with existing to freshen things up. Come on in, see what's new, find a little happy for you or your home.

Feeling Frisky...
French postcard prints, mated in old photo album pages.

Photos stuck in an old corset.

A vintage faucet used as an easel.

I had big plans for the umbrella frames...hang a few from the ceiling and then suspend the baskets from the umbrellas, to look as if the goodies were parachuting from the sky. But with low ceilings and not enough room in my space, the plan was scratched. No worries...If you have higher ceilings you can do this in your home. Towels in a bathroom, toys in a child's room, plants on a front porch, papers and books in an office, etc. Or you can hang photos, old letters, or book pages from the umbrella frame. Time to get creative.

Religious are redo.

Secret Leaves Paperworks

Victorian Calling Card gift tag set

Blue horse themed letter writing kit

Book spine kraft gift box

Red Hydrangea Thank You cards (set of 4)

I wish these great products were the newest addition to House Things. Unfortunately they're not, but they can be found in my friends Etsy shop, Secret Leaves Paperworks.

This is what Secret Leaves Paperworks says about their business:
We love old things and the stories they tell. We want to pass that along by caring about what we make and how we make it, and by carefully preserving the small details that inspire awe.

By their nature, Secret Leaves products are about recycling and reuse. We often use vintage ephemera in our work. When we do use new materials, we specify environmentally-friendly papers and ink and work with local green printers. Old boxes are recycled for shipping and scrap paper is shredded for packing material. What we can't reuse is taken to the local recycling center.

We want to make things we love and be proud of how we go about it.

Wouldn't you agree that this sounds like a great business? Please go visit and support her. Secret Leaves Paperworks
